Enjoy a Blue Mountains private tour from Sydney, exclusively for your group of up to 11 guests. Visit cliff-top lookouts for stunning views of the mountains, including some of the quieter spots. This tour also includes a visit to a wildlife park in the west of Sydney, where you can get up close to iconic Australian animals. Travel by spacious people mover or minibus. .

Our Blue Mountains private tour begins with pickup from your Sydney CBD location at 7:30am. Heading out of the city, we first visit Featherdale Wildlife Park, located in western Sydney (entrance fee applies). The park’s focus is on Aussie animals, so it’s the perfect chance to meet some iconic Australian wildlife. You can get up close to a koala for that perfect photo, feed a kangaroo, and discover the unique nature of Australian fauna. We like to get here early, before larger tour groups arrive. Feel free to wander around the park on your own, or your guide will show you around and tell you about the various weird and wonderful creatures found across Australia.

Our first major stop in the Blue Mountains is in the Wentworth Falls area, where we get our first real look at the majestic valleys in this region, and learn about the geology, flora and fauna of this UNESCO World Heritage site. The Blue Mountains are known for views like these, so there will be plenty more to come.

Around Midday we enjoy lunch in the neighbouring village of Leura. This idyllic town has a good range of boutique shops, cafés and restaurants for you to discover. We will discuss lunch options with you and suggest a suitable venue. He can also make a reservation ahead of time if required. (Lunch is at guests’ expense.)

From here, it’s a short drive to Katoomba, which has some of the most well-known views and rock formations in the Mountains, including the Three Sisters. Hear the Aboriginal Dreaming story of their creation as you take in the sweeping panorama of the Jamison Valley. For those who feel like stretching their legs, we can take a walk along the cliff top through rainforest vegetation and passing Katoomba Falls.

After a day of sightseeing, we return to Sydney CBD and drop you off at your hotel at approximately 4.30pm.

Tour options

 - Guests can choose not to visit the wildlife park and spend more time in the Mountains instead

 - In Katoomba, guests may choose to visit Scenic World, which is a popular attraction, especially for groups with kids. Here, you can enjoy the cable cars, train ride into the valley, and a boardwalk through a section of rainforest (entrance fee applies, prior booking required during peak times and subject to availability).

 - Ferry return. From the west of Sydney, take a public ferry ride along the Parramatta River and across Sydney Harbour. (Ferry at own expense.) You would then make your own way back to your hotel.

Hunter Valley Private Tour 1 - 11 People × × × × × × ×
Hunter Valley Private Tour 1 - 11 People

Hunter Valley Private Tour 1 - 11 People

Hunter Valley private wine tour from Sydney, exclusively for your group of up to 11 guests. Enjoy wine tasting at up to 4 boutique wineries, local cheese, restaurant lunch plus optional stops for craft beer, chocolate and more.

Our Hunter Valley private tour mostly focuses on visiting smaller, more boutique wineries in the Hunter Valley, which offer low production but high-quality wines not widely available outside the region. You will have the opportunity to try a wide range of grape varieties, including semillon – the variety for which the Hunter Valley is best known – plus chardonnay, verdelho, shiraz and a number of others.

Departing from your Sydney CBD hotel at 7:45am, you will cross Sydney Harbour Bridge and travel through the northern suburbs of the city towards the Hunter Valley. We pass densely forested, hilly countryside just outside the city before crossing the serene Hawkesbury River. For the last 30 minutes of the journey, you will travel on a picturesque country road through rural towns and villages.

You will arrive at the first winery at approximately 10:15am for your introduction to Hunter Valley wine, which will include the grape varieties typical of the region. The friendly and informative cellar door staff will guide you through your tasting. Whether it's your first ever winery visit or you a wine connoisseur, you are sure to learn something new about the Hunter Valley and its wines.

In the central Pokolbin area, we stop at a cheese shop for a sit-down cheese tasting. We sample 4 or 5 cheeses, with a brief description from a member of the team on the various cheese styles. As most of the cheese is made locally, and by hand - it’s true artisan regional produce. There are also a number of other products to sample such as jams, pickles and tapenade.

Back to the wine for our second winery visit, where you can enjoy more of the Hunter Valley's excellent wines through a guided tasting.

Next, we normally settle in for a while at a winery with a restaurant. We do a bit of wine tasting with an accompanying charcuterie and cheese platter. Then it's time for something more substantial as we enjoy a delicious lunch of shared plates, including a meat dish, vegetables, salad, dips and a dessert to finish. A glass of wine is also included with your meal. (Lunch and wine is included in the tour cost.)

At this stage of the day we can head back to Sydney with a good range and food and wine sampled. However, if time and enthusiasm remain, we can fit in another stop. Guests can choose to visit a fourth winery or perhaps opt for craft beer at a microbrewery or vodka, gin and liqueurs at a distillery (microbrewery and distillery tastings at own expense). As an alternative to alcohol, perhaps take a wander around the Hunter Valley Gardens complex (with chocolate shop on site!).

Departing the Hunter Valley at approximately 3:45pm, we return to Sydney CBD and drop you off at your hotel at around 6:15pm.

Tour options

  • Craft beer tasting at a micro-brewery or visit a distillery for vodka, gin and liqueurs (tasting fees apply)
  • Wander around the shops or gardens at the Hunter Valley Gardens complex (entry fee for formal gardens)
  • Chocolate, sweets, desserts and more at various outlets (at own cost)

South Coast and Southern Highlands Private Tour 1 - 11 People

South Coast and Southern Highlands Private Tour 1 - 11 People

Travel along scenic coastal and country roads for incredible views of the ocean and countryside for which the region is famous. Visit typical Australian beach side towns and villages. Optional activities include swimming and coastal walks.

Our tour begins with pickup from your Sydney CBD at 07:30am. We then head through Sydney's southern suburbs to our first stop, a cliff-top lookout offering stunning views of the coastline and the imposing sandstone Illawarra escarpment. Those who wish to take in more of the sea breeze can stroll along the Sea Cliff Bridge, an iconic section of the coast road veering out from the shore. The bridge has a pedestrian walkway and takes about thirty minutes to cross.

As we continue our tour down the coast along the Grand Pacific Drive, we pass through some typical Aussie coastal communities centred around the wonderful beaches and rock pools. Our next stop is Kiama, one of the South Coast’s most pleasant coastal towns. Boutique stores, cafes and heritage buildings line the town's peaceful bay and headland. See the famous Blowhole, a natural phenomenon where, when the conditional are right, the sea shoots up through a gap in the black volcanic rock. Next, we head inland through the green rolling hills of this former dairy country. We make a lunch stop in the town of Berry or at a hilltop café. (Lunch at own expense.)

The dramatic mountain scenery continues as we head through Kangaroo Valley to arrive in the Southern Highlands, an area known for its agriculture and early European settlements. It’s now also an emerging food and wine destination. Along the way, make a brief stop at Fitzroy Falls to see the waterfall and sandstone cliffs. Travelling on through scenic countryside we visit Berrima, a beautifully preserved heritage village with buildings dating back to the 1830s, including the courthouse and goal. The village also has a number of craft and antique shops to browse, plus charming country cafes for an afternoon tea.

At about 4:00pm we leave the tranquillity of the Highlands behind and take the main highway back to Sydney, arriving at about 6:00pm.

Tour options

  •  Let us know your preferences. Choose to spend more time at the coast and less in the Highlands, or vice versa.

Pick-up for Sydney private tours is 7:45am from your Sydney CBD hotel. Your tour typically starts with a drive through The Rocks, the area where European settlement in Australia truly began. Here, we can see some of the nineteenth century streets and buildings where Sydney’s first European settlers lived and worked. We also pass through some other interesting neighbourhoods in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, such as trendy Paddington, famed for its leafy streets and Victorian townhouses. Along the way, we stop at the popular Mrs Macquarie’s Chair viewpoint, to admire the harbour, Sydney Opera House and the city embracing it.

Heading further out we reach Watsons Bay at the entrance to the harbour. From the sandstone cliffs guests can take in the city skyline and headlands of the harbour entrance. Next, we head to Bondi and Sydney’s most famous beach. We stop for pictures, and perhaps a waterfront stroll before heading back towards the city via Centennial Park.

Travelling north over Sydney Harbour Bridge, we pass through some of the north shore neighbourhoods before arriving at Manly, one of Sydney’s most appealing beachside suburbs. Guests can take a walk past the shops and eateries of the Corso, which leads to Manly’s attractive beachfront.

At 12.45pm, we drive back and drop you off at your hotel or the airport. Alternatively, you can linger in Manly a little longer - and perhaps have some lunch - before taking the popular ferry ride back across the harbour to Sydney CBD in your own time.
